Everyone agrees that drugs are bad. The question that arises is whether people should be in jail for this bad thing. I know that heroin is bad, cocaine is bad, LSD is bad, and marijuana is bad. I also know that cigarettes are bad and I know that alcohol is very harmful - but I do not believe people should be separated from society for this. We could not help people with this kind of policy… what did we achieve? We separated these people from society. As soon as people became addicted [to drugs], we rejected them from society and pushed them to the criminal world.
